Os estudantes do 1º ano do Colégio Avantis fizeram uma saída de campo no último dia 11 de abril para o Complexo Ambiental Cyro Gevaerd, em Balneário Camboriú. A atividade extraclasse envolveu três disciplinas: Artes, Biologia e Espanhol.
Com o objetivo de aperfeiçoar o conhecimento na prática sobre os conteúdos relacionados aos Sambaquis catarinenses, estudados nas aulas de Arte com a professora Ieda Ghellere Cavalheiro, os alunos puderam ver de perto a forma de vida dos sambaquieiros que habitaram o nosso litoral catarinense há milhares de anos.
Na disciplina de Biologia, a professora Sabina Moser Tralamazza trabalhou com espécies dos diferentes biomas brasileiros e espécies ameaçadas à extinção. Já na disciplina de Espanhol, a professora Edna Regina Matos trabalhou com o nome dos animais e plantas em espanhol.
As atividades também tiveram como objetivo a sensibilização do aluno sobre a importância da preservação da natureza, aliando a teoria adquirida em sala de aula com a prática. A saída estimulou o aprendizado e despertou o interesse de todos sobre o modo de vida dos animais, a alimentação, além de conhecerem curiosidades de várias espécies.
